Rock the Block Oshkosh Announces

The Bent Woods Neighborhood Association has been chosen for the 2026 Rock the Block Oshkosh neighborhood revitalization program in September.

Rock the Block is a Habitat for Humanity International brand that brings people together to revitalize neighborhoods. The purpose is to get neighbors and the greater community working together to improve their city.

Rock the Block is presented by these collaborative partners: Habitat for Humanity Oshkosh, Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc. (GO-HNI), and the City of Oshkosh. This exciting neighborhood revitalization initiative, "Rock the Block Oshkosh," utilizes neighborhood association members, city loans, donations, and local grant funding for exterior home and lawn improvement. The program was kick-started through a generous grant from US Venture Basic Needs Giving Program and continues to be funded through generous donors and local grant opportunities including the Endowment Fund of Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.

Rock the Block has worked to revitalize areas of Sacred Heart, Congress Fields, River East, Midtown, Menominee South and Historic 6th Ward Neighborhood Associations since 2019. The program’s 2026 efforts will focus on the Bent Woods Neighborhood Association.

Residents living within the Bent Woods Neighborhood Association boundaries can apply to receive assistance with exterior home repairs and lawn care, including but not limited to edging, lawn patching, seeding, tree and bush trimming, weeding, raking, brush removal, mulching, pressure washing, and gutter cleaning. Applications will be available online here.

The deadline to apply for 2026 projects will be March 16, 2026.
