Washington Housing Development RFP Q & A
Question: What are the requirements for the other 9 homes, such as timing for completion of their units?
Answer: Habitat for Humanity Oshkosh purchased four lots on the site. Habitat shall either purchase or release any rights or claim to develop the remaining five lots by December 31, 2029.
The Completion Date means the date all work related to the entire project must be completed, including all interior and exterior components, and including the conveyance to qualified new home owner(s), which is December 31, 2032.
Question: What are the requirements for the other 9 homes, such as design requirements?
Answer: Habitat shall comply with City Design Standards for Single and Two Family Homes Oshkosh Zoning Ordinance Section 30 241 for all their single family dwellings. Habitat shall use the approved Housing Specifications.
What's Going On?
- Oshkosh's largest employer, Oshkosh Corporation has moved into their new 190,000 square foot global headquarters, located along Oshkosh Avenue and Lake Butte des Morts.
- The Sawdust District, the city’s redevelopment area south of the Fox River has multiple redevelopment projects ongoing that will activate the waterfront.
- The Oshkosh Transload Terminal, along the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad, in the Southwest Industrial Park is open for business.
- The city's central city district is in the midst of multiple redevelopment projects including residential, office, entertainment, and commercial.
- The Interstate 41 corridor continues to grow with multiple redevelopments, infill development, and greenfield developments occurring every year.

The City of Oshkosh, conveniently located along Interstate 41 in east central Wisconsin, is 50 miles south of Green Bay and 60 miles north of Milwaukee's metro area. Major transportation arterials that run through the city are:
- Interstate 41
- U.S. Highway 45
- State Highways 21, 26, 44, 76 and 91
- Wisconsin and Southern Railroad and Canadian National Railroad
- Two ports are within 100 miles, Green Bay at 50 miles and Milwaukee at 80 miles
- Multiple commercial airports are located within 100 miles, including Appleton International Airport, Austin Straubel International Airport and General Mitchell International Airport
- Private air service is available at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh
