How to calculate your bill

Example:

Water consumption is 1,000 cubic feet. (Note the City bills in 100 cubic foot increments)
Water meter size is either 5/8” or 3/4”, or 1" (represents most residential accounts)
Water volume charge = 10 x $6.10 = $61.00
Water fixed charge (5/8” & 3/4”) = $9.94
Water fixed charge (1”) = $15.00
Total monthly water bill charge (5/8” & 3/4”) = $70.94
Total monthly water bill charge (1”) = $76.00

Sewer consumption is 1,000 cubic feet (It is assumed that sewer use is the same as water use)
Sewer volume charge = 10 x $7.12 = $71.20
Fixed sewer charge = (Meter Size is 5/8” & 3/4”) = $12.39
Fixed sewer charge = (Meter Size is 1”) = $20.24
Total monthly sewer bill charge = (5/8” & 3/4”) = $83.59
Total monthly sewer bill charge = (1”) = $91.44

Public fire protection monthly charge (5/8” & 3/4”) = $4.07
Public fire protection monthly charge (1”) = $10.50
Storm water for average residential account = $20.32

Total monthly bill for water, sewer, fire protection, and storm water with a 5/8” or 3/4” = $178.92
Total monthly bill for water, sewer, fire protection, and storm water with a 1” = $198.26
