Mission Statement
The Planning Services Division is committed to providing expert advice to the City Manager, Common Council, Boards, Commissions, and community stakeholders on land use issues that influence the growth and redevelopment of our community. We play an essential role in implementing and maintaining the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance, as well as other crucial community planning documents.
Permit Oversight
The division manages two primary categories of applications:
- Administrative Permits: These permits can be issued directly by our division staff.
- Board or Commission Actions: These items require deliberation and decision by boards such as the Plan Commission or the Board of Appeals.
We are dedicated to supporting the community and facilitating informed decisions that help shape the City's future. For more information or assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the Planning Services Division.
