Lead Line Financial Assistance Program
What is the financial assistance program?
The City has received funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to help fund replacement of existing private-side lead, or galvanized iron that was ever connected to lead, service lines. The program will provide fifty percent (50%) assistance up to $2,700 per service line. The financial assistance comes in the form of a loan. Terms of the loan are two percent (2%) simple interest, up to 10 years, paid annually with taxes and may be paid off early without penalty.
Property owners must apply to the City for admittance into the program prior to starting the private-side lead water service line replacement and follow all requirements of the program to be eligible for financial assistance.
