The Sanitation Division of the City of Oshkosh provides Garbage and Recycling collection services to residential customers in buildings of 4 living units or less. Garbage is collected every week and Recycling is collected every other week, separated into "A" and "B" week. (See the Route map).
No Garbage or Recycling Collection on Labor Day, September 7, 2026
Due to the City’s observance of Labor Day, there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Monday, September 7, 2026. Collections for the remainder of the week will be one day later. Garbage and recycling collection scheduled for Friday, September 11th moves to Saturday, September 12th. Regular services will resume on Monday, September 14th.
Additionally, the City’s yard waste drop-off site located on West 3rd Avenue (between Idaho Street and Ohio Street) will be closed for the holiday on Monday, September 7th. The drop-off site will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th.
Residential curbside brush collection for September will take place on the regularly-scheduled garbage collection day the week of September 14th through September 18th.
