Sustainability Plan Engagement Sessions set for May 29th

The city of Oshkosh Planning Division is hosting a series of Engagement Sessions to gather public input to help guide an update to Oshkosh’s Sustainability Plan, which  addresses goals/recommendations for municipal operations,  the Sustainability Advisory Board, as well as for the entire community. The project team from the city and the city’s consultant (GRAEF) will be in-person at each session to provide project background for attendees. In addition, there will be an opportunity to see draft plan goals and provide input.

The Sustainability Plan includes eight themes, including the following:
•  Energy, Utilities, & Facilities
•  Waste Management
•  Transportation
•  Land Use & Economic Development
•  Environmental Conservation
•  Community Health
•  Education, Governance, & Outreach
•  Climate Resilience

The Engagement Sessions will be held at the Oshkosh Seniors Center South Building in the Willow Room on Thursday, May 29th. Public input will help steer the planning effort. There will be three sessions available:
•  12:30-2:00pm
•  2:30-4:00pm
•  5:30-7:00pm

After the sessions, the project team will review all information gathered from each session and apply it to the draft plan where needed. Plan approval is anticipated to occur at the end of this year.
