Oshkosh Fire Department Strengthens Emergency Response Thanks to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® Grant
The Grant is part of more than $112 million awarded by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® to support public safety across the U.S.

As first responders continue serving the City of Oshkosh, it is essential that the Oshkosh Fire Department has the tools needed to respond effectively in emergencies. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® has recognized this need and recently awarded the department a $22,865 grant to purchase Blackline gas monitors.

The new Blackline gas monitors will significantly strengthen life safety for the Oshkosh Fire Department and the Oshkosh community by providing rapid detection of oxygen-deficient, toxic, and explosive atmospheres before responders and residents are exposed. With approximately 74,500 residents in Oshkosh potentially benefiting from safer emergency response, this investment will expand protection during hazardous materials incidents, confined space emergencies, industrial calls, and large public events.

“We are extremely grateful to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs® restaurant in Oshkosh, WI for this vital support,” said Jack Clark, Fire Marshal, Oshkosh Fire Department. “Having reliable, up-to-date equipment enhances our ability to protect lives and better serve our community.”

For more than 20 years, charitable donations have powered the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation’s mission to support first responders and public safety organizations nationwide. Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded more than 7,300 grants totaling over $112 million to public safety organizations.
