City Services Affected by Blizzard of March 16, 2026

Many City of Oshkosh services are affected by the historic blizzard of March 16th. The National Weather Service has a Blizzard Warning in effect until 4:00 p.m. this afternoon for Winnebago County and surrounding areas. Blizzard conditions are affecting Oshkosh this morning. Additional snow accumulations of several inches are expected, with winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

Due to these extreme conditions, the following City services are affected today:

•    Garbage and recycling pickup is suspended for today, March 16th. Regular service will resume tomorrow, March 17th, and will be delayed by one day for all residents. For example, if you normally have garbage pickup on Fridays, your pickup this week will be on Saturday, March 21st.
•    Oshkosh GO Transit services will be closed on Monday, March 16th. GO Transit will resume regular operating hours on Tuesday, March 17th.
•    The Oshkosh Public Library is closed on Monday, March 16th. All programs, events, room reservations, appointments and services are cancelled. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, March 17th.
•    The Oshkosh Seniors Center is closed on Monday, March 16th. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, March 17th.
•    Oshkosh  City  Hall  is  open  with  limited  staffing  today,  March  16th.  Please  visit https://www.oshkoshwi.gov/Online_Services.aspx to save a trip, and utilize the online resources available to residents.
