Council Member Jacob Floam

Jacob Floam has a passion for public service and is honored to serve the community on the Oshkosh Common Council. Before being elected to the Oshkosh Common Council, Jacob represented District 16 on the Winnebago County Board of Supervisors from 2022 to 2024. Jacob graduated from Fordham University in New York City with a Bachelors in International Political Economy and Development. Additionally, he holds a Masters in Public Administration from UW Oshkosh.

Jacob’s experience in government is wide ranging. He has served as staff on the state and federal levels while also being elected locally. He currently works for Rep. Grothman and regularly brings this prior government experience to the Oshkosh Common Council.

Jacob is a member in various community volunteer organizations such as Oshkosh Rotary Southwest, Oshkosh Knights of Columbus, Leadership Oshkosh Class of 2024, and more! Jacob is also an avid runner and who enjoys Oshkosh’s natural beauty and parks system.
