Arts and Crafts
The Oshkosh Seniors Center has an art studio with open hours available for individuals to come in and work on project of choice. The center has two kilns to transform material into wonderful works of art. In addition, a variety of classes are offered throughout the year:
- Hands On Clay (S) - Tuesdays from 1-3:30 pm. Create a variety of hand-built clay items. Roll it, pinch it, and press it! Instructor provides guidance and materials.
- Knitting and Crocheting (S) - Thursdays 9-11 am. In this peer lead activity, you can learn basic techniques, enhance acquired skills and/or exchange patterns. Everyone welcome, including beginners.
- Special Projects (S) - Offered throughout the year. Some examples include wreath making, card making, Zen tangle, and stepping stones.
Woodshop
The OSC Woodshop, located in the North building, is a well-equipped shop available for the enjoyment of participants. We offer classes as well as open time where participants can work on a project or get assistance with a repair. The Woodshop volunteers are available to assist you while using shop equipment and offer guidance on projects.
Wellness
Our Health and Wellness Program promotes health and independent living by connecting Oshkosh seniors, ages 50+, to services, information, and activities.
