Crack Filling
Crack filling is an annual program performed by Street Maintenance crews. The process involves widening the cracks out, blowing the cracks clean and pouring liquid asphalt into them. Sealing cracks helps prevent moisture from infiltrating the pavement structure. This moisture weakens the structural subsurface layers and is the primary cause of pavement deterioration.
