International Vulture Awareness Day

Help us celebrate these cool creatures on the first Saturday of September! You may not find vultures to be the most attractive animal at the zoo, but they play a huge role in the health of our planet! Spend some time scavenging the zoo and see how many different species of vultures you can spot. Zookeepers will also be holding keeper chats at the aviary to discuss what makes these birds so unique. Other activities will include a kid’s craft table and special art opportunities with local artists.
