Oregon Street and Jackson Street Reconstruction Project
Oregon Street from W 7th Avenue to W 6th Avenue, and Jackson Street from Marion Road to High Avenue
Project Overview
City of Oshkosh, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), is currently planning for the reconstruction of Oregon Street from West 7th Avenue to West 6th Avenue, and Jackson Street from Marion Road up to High Avenue. The design work is being completed under WisDOT Project 4994-01-40/42. The project includes the complete reconstruction of these segments of Oregon Street and Jackson Street, including pavement and City-owned utilities. The current project schedule has construction slated to begin in 2029. The City has retained GRAEF to perform the design work on this project. This project is proposed to be done completed in conjunction with the Oregon Street/Jackson Street bridge project. The bridge project will focus on Oregon Street/Jackson Street between West 6th Avenue and Marion Road. The WisDOT Project number for the bridge project is 4994-07-71. Current Project Phase
The design team is focusing on preliminary (30%) pavement, utility, and right-of-way corridor improvement design concepts.
Public Involvement
City staff and GRAEF design team will be holding a Public Involvement Meeting in Room 404/406 at City Hall on Thursday, January 29, 2026. This will be an opportunity for any interested parties to find out more information as well as ask any questions regarding the proposed upcoming reconstruction of Oregon Street and Jackson Street.
