Two alternates will be considered. Alter- nate I will consider widening along the present al.ignment to accommodate 2 lanes of through traffic in each direction with a continuous center left-turn lane. Curb and gutter is planned from Lake Breeze to U.S. Highway 41. Alternate II con- siders a relocation to approximately one-quarter mile south of present State Trunk Highway 21. This alternate will also provide for 2 lanes of traffic in each direction separated by a 50-foot median. As this alternate involves a change in the State Trunk Highway System, all interested persons are advised that this hearing will incorporate the provisions of Section 64.02 (3)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes. The public hearing will convene at 7:00 P.Pf. on Wednesday, April 29, 1981, at the Town of Algoma Town Hall located at the intersection of Oakwood Road and County Trunk Highway "E". As an informational service, staff engineers will be present at the Town Hall * from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on the day of the hearing for informal discussion of the proposal. A map of the proposal will be on display and a statement about the proposed improvement will be available for study. Information concerning the proposed improvement is available for inspection and copying at the Creen Bay District Office of the Department of Transportation at 944 Scenic. An Gnvironmental Assessment concerning the proposal's environmen�aL imnacta and effects has been prepared and filed according to the State and National Environmental Policy Acts. This document indicates that no significant environmental impacts are anticipated to occur as a result of this improvement. All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and to prosene coucise, relevant, oral and/or written tes[imony concerning the general location and detailed design aspects of the proposed improvement; the proposed chanqe in the State 'Prunk Ilighway System, in accordance with the provisions of Section 84.02 (3)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes; the social, economic and environmental impacts and efFects of the proposed improvement; and whether the improvement is or is not in the public interest and consistent with the goals and objectives of area planning. Land acquisition and schedules for construction will be discussed at the public hearing. Relocation Assistance wil.l also be discussed. It is anticipated that the rel.o- cation of persons will occur as a result of the proposed improvement. Any person who feels that he or she may be thus affected by the proposed improvement may obtain relocation assistance information at the Green Bay Transportation District Office, Telephone 414-497-4289. Yrovisions have been made for the submission of written statements or other exhibits in place of, or in addition to the testimony presented at the public hearing. This additional testimony will be included in the hearing transcipt if post marked not later than riay 11, 1981. Mail this additional testimony to H. L. Fiedler, Administrator of the Division of Highways and Transportation Facilities, �lisconsin Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 7916, Piadison, WI 53707. The Department of Transportation will review all testimony presented and reserves the right to make a final determination upon the proposal as described in this notice.
