RESOLUTION

PURP�SE: INITiAL RES�LUTION FQR GRADING AND GRAVELING
1NITIATED BY: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLfC WORKS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Gommon Council of the City of Oshkosh as follows:
1. The Common Council hereby declares its intention to exercise its
power under Section 66.60 ot the Wisconsin Statutes to levy special assess-
ments upon property within the following described areas for benefits con-
ferred upon such property by improving the following named streets, said
public improvements to include the following:
GRADING AND GRAVELING
Lake Rest Avenue from Fond du Lac Road to 690 ft. E. of
Fond du Lac Road
2. Said public improvement shall include the grading of the a6ove
named street to the grade hereafter established by special ordinance of the
City of Oshkosh.
3. Before such improvements are made, the Board of Public Works is
directed to cause water and sewer service pipes to be laid in said streets
from the mains to the curb line of each lot fronting on the said streets and
to keep an accurate account of the expense incurred in front of each lot and
report the same to the Comptroller who shall cause the amount charged to each
lot to be entered on the tax roil as a special tax against said road, provided,
however, that the Board of Public Works shall not cause such laterals to be so
laid for any particular lot, or parcel where, in the opinion of the Board of
Public Works, it would 6e impractical to do so.
4. The total amount assessed against such district shall not exceed
the total cost of the improvements, and the amount assessed against any par-
cel shall not be greater than the benefits accrued thereto from said improve-
ments.
5. The assessments against any parcel may be paid according to the pro-
visions of Section 25-83 through 25-89 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code.

(1) The assessment of benefits to be levied for each improvement.
(2) The damages to be awarded for property taken or damages by
each improvement.
(3) The net amount of benefits over damages or of damages over
benefits for each improvement.
Upon completion of such report, the Board of Public Works is directed
to file a copy thereof in the City Clerk's Office for public inspection.
7. Upon receiving the report of the Board of Public Works, the City
Clerk is directed to give notice of a public hearing on such reports as
specified in Section 66.60(7) of the Wisconsin Statutes. The hearing shall
be held by the Board of Public Works at the Council Chambers in the City
Hall at a time set by the Clerk in accordance with Section 66.60(7) of the
Wi�sconsin Statutes.
8. The installation of said street improvements shall be accomplished
according to the provisions of Section 25-3 through 25-11 of the Oshkosh
Municipal Code.
