PURPOSE: AUTHORIZE CHAIVGE FOR ARCHITECT'S CONTRACT
FOR OSHKOSH CENTRE PROJECT
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
SE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the
proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
following attached addition to the architect's contract for the Oshkosh
Centre Project with Reinke Hansche Last Inc. in the amount of $4,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that money for this purpose is hereby appio-
priated from Account No. 331-105 - Oshkosh Downtown Redevelopment Fund.

RE: OSHKOSH CENTRE PROJECT
NO. 1383
We are forwarding this request for a change in our architectural
contract for the Oshkosh Centre project. The requested change is
to add $4,000.00 to the contract fee of $140,000.00.
This request for additional fees is itemized as follows:
1. When the original fee was proposed, the Centre building
by Code did not require an automatic fire protection
system (sprinkler system). If the construction of this
project had commenced prior to July l, 1983, the fire
protection system would not be required. In accordance
with State Buildinq Codes as amended on July 1, 1983,
this building now has to have a sprinkler system. We,
therefore, are requestinq an additional engineering fee
of $2,000.00 to prepare the required documents, bid and
administer the contract for this service.
2. Our original proposal to the City of Oshkosh for this
project included a limited sound system. In reviewing
the project in the contract document phase with Ron Burich,
we find that television caQabilities for standard, cable
and satellite will be required. Also, requests are being
made to provide capabilities for live TV broadcasts from
the Centre.
The electrical, sound and television engineering required
to provide these additional requests are extensive. We
are, therefore, requesting an addition to our contract of
$2,000.00 to provide for these services.
