This year [he Jaycees along wi[h Ot [er Street Fishing Club are
again hosting Walleye Fes[ . We plan to hold tha[ even[ a[
Menominee Park on June l7 , 18 and 19 , 1988. The even[ [hat we
plan [o hold Ss expected Co be similar [o the Walleye FesG of the
las[ several years . A portion of Che park Cha[ we anticipa[e
�sing is [ha[ por[ion of the park nor[h of Che en[rance across
from Tfercy Medical Cenier. Enclosed herewi[h is a general
sketching of [he areas of Che par[ and ac[ivi[Ses Chat ve plan in
[he park foc [hat even[ . I[ is expected [ha[ [he event commence
on Friday , June 17 with the s [ar[ of various Cournamen[s along
with Che in[roduc[ion of [he fishing [ournament . I[ will continue
on Sa[urday , June 18 wlth various even[s including youth soccer
[ournament � softball tournamen[s , volleyball [ournamen[s , and
other even[s . Included among Che o[her evenCS [aking place on
[hat day are the volleyball [ournamen[ , the Iron Works bench press
open competi[Son , [he main stage area , [he Firs[ Wisconsin family
stage and Wisconsin MoCOrboat Associa[ion mo[orboa[ races .
On Sunday , [here wi11 be a similar line-up of even[s . The
Lournamen[s shall con[inue and we shall also sponsor [he sound
s [age and First Wisronsin family stage.
As in years pas [ , [he Oshkosh Jaycees will be conduccing this
event in conjunction with [he Walleye Fishing Tournanent being
sponsored by [he O[cer 5[ceet Fishing Club . The [ournament shall
cake place aC the same [ ime as indica[ed above and wichirt the
por [ Ion of the park cha[ we sha11 be conducting our even[ .

assis[ance our even[ has grown. Because of [he grow[h , Chis year

Jaycees and [he O[[er S[ree[ Fishi�g Club Co close off Che Irvin�
Stree [ enCrance to [he park as well as [he en[ rance on S[evar[
Trail and oCher roadways [ha[ lead [o Irving SCreet . The crowds
ae Che evenc have increased dranaCically in r�cen[ years . We
believe it is necessary to [ake [his- ac[ion so as [o provide for
[he safe[y of all people a[ [ending .

antSCtpa[ed [o be a large crowd. Portable baChroom facilities
have been arranged foc . We have reCained the use of a dumpecec
and garbage removal services . Fur[her , we are in [he process of
securing [he assLS[ance of Che Winnebago Coun[y Sheriff ' s
auxiliary [o assLs[ in crowd managemen[ .
In years past , we have apprecia[ed [he assiseance of the Cicy
Parks Departmen[ in Caking Che effor[ [o moving certain benches
and chairs to [he area of the park Cha[ Chis even[ shall [ake
place. We would be greatly appreciate such ac[SOn by [he Ci[y
again [his year .
Through [he coopera[ ion of [he Ciiy of Oshkosh , we have been a61e
[o pu[ on [his wor[hwhile evenC . We believe [ha[ [his year' s
even[ will be a successful one . We again Chank you for your
