HomeMy WebLinkAboutPhysicalAgilityTestingStandards The Mission of the Oshkosh Police Department is to promote public safety and to enhance the quality of life in our community through innovative policing and community partnerships PHYSICAL AGILITY TESTING The Oshkosh Police Department adopts the FitForce Physical Readiness Test designed for entry level Patrol Officers. The minimum standards used by this department are the same standards a new recruit must meet to enter into a Law Enforcement Recruit Academy in the State of Wisconsin. The specific tests and standards are listed below. PHYSICAL READINESS TEST MINIMUM STANDARD 1.5 mile run 20:20 300 meter run 82 seconds Push-ups 18 Sit-ups 24 Vertical jump 11.5 inches Agility Run 23.4 seconds The Oshkosh Police Department Physical Agility Test will be administered by an officer trained in the FitForce program. This step in the selection process will take place as one of the 1st steps in the hiring process. Candidates are encouraged to prepare themselves for the Physical Agility Test before the date of the test. The minimum standard must be met in every test to advance in the Patrol Officer selection process. Additionally, there are exit standards that are required to graduate from a Law Enforcement Recruit Academy in the State of Wisconsin. These must be met in order to successfully pass the Academy and continue employment. ***It is recommended that candidates train to these standards.
