MEMORIAL TREE PROGRAM
This program provides the opportunity to donate a tree in memory of a loved one or to honor someone you care about.
These trees are planted by the City of Oshkosh Landscape Operations Division in a city park or approved city greenspace
of your choosing. Your donation to this program will not only provide a lasting memory but also help to enhance our
community.
The cost to donate a memorial tree is $400. Included with your donation is a shade or ornamental tree, 1.5 inches in
diameter – transplanted ball and burlap, and a 9” x 12” x 2” engraved brick to be placed in the ground near the tree. The
inscription on the marker can be up to 3 lines, with a maximum of 15 letters and spaces per line (see example on the
next page).
The donor may express a preference to the variety and location of the tree; however, the specific species and exact
location of the tree will ultimately be determined by the Landscape Operations Manager depending on needs and
availability. Find examples of recommended tree species as well as available park locations on the next page.
Please complete the information below and return this page along with a check payable to City of Oshkosh to the
address below. Payment can also be made in person by cash, check or card at the Parks Administrative Office. Trees will
be planted the following spring or fall, depending on the timing of your donations and the type of the tree.
