HomeMy WebLinkAboutMenomineeNorthAgreementMenominee North Neighborhood Association Agreement The purpose of the Menominee North Neighborhood Association is to improve the quality and maintain the safety of our neighborhood by encouraging engagement among residents. The Menominee North Neighborhood Associations boundaries are New York Avenue to Irving Street, from the railroad tracks at Broad Street to Lake Winnebago. The Menominee North Neighborhood Association recognizes the uniqueness of the individuals within our neighborhood and will promote and protect the diversity of our community. The core team of the Menominee North Neighborhood Association consists of a minimum of 5 members, but is open to all residents within our boundaries. Membership in the Menominee North Neighborhood Association is free, voluntary and open to residents that own or rent a home or own or represent a business within our boundaries. Residents wishing to join the core team can submit their name, address, phone number and interest to the Menominee North Neighborhood Association email at least 14 days before the annual meeting. The core team will present the names at the annual meeting and all residents in attendance that are 18 or older will vote on the appointment of new members. Agenda items for the annual meeting must be submitted to the core team at least 14 days before the annual meeting and can be submitted to the chair or the Menominee North Neighborhood Association email. The Menominee North Neighborhood Association will hold an annual meeting and hold at least one event each year. Other meetings and events will occur as deemed necessary by the core team. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in meetings and events, and to take roles on teams within the Menominee North Neighborhood Association. Each member shall be entitled to one vote. Decisions are made by majority rule of those present. Non-residents may attend meetings as observers but will not have voting rights. All residents and observers that attend a meeting are expected to show respect for others in attendance and the location of the meeting. The core team is responsible for creating an agenda for all meetings, taking minutes during the meeting, and making both available to residents upon request. Communication about the Menominee North Neighborhood Association will be primarily through email and Facebook. Interested residents should provide an active email address and/or follow the neighborhood association Facebook page. The power to alter, amend or repeal the Agreement shall be vested in the members. Such action shall be taken at the Annual meeting, or a meeting called for that purpose by the core team. Written advance notice (minimum of 14 days) shall be given for any proposed change to the Agreement.
