The City of Oshkosh is seeking candidates to fill an open Common Council seat. The Oshkosh
Common Council will appoint an individual to fill the remainder of the current term, which runs through
April 21, 2026.
The vacant seat is open to residents of Oshkosh who are: 18 years of age; U.S. citizens; residents of
the City; and qualified to register to vote. Full minimum qualifications available on Wisconsin Elections
Commission website.
Persons interested in being considered for the appointment should complete the questionnaire that
appears after this page, along with a letter of interest and a current résumé.
Applications must be received by 4:30pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Completed applications may be emailed, sent via the U.S. Postal Service, or hand delivered to the
Office of the City Clerk at City Hall (215 Church Ave):

Appointment: At the November 25, 2025 Common Council meeting, to be held at 6:00pm in the
Council Chambers at City Hall (215 Church Ave, Room 406), each eligible candidate that submitted
an application will have the opportunity to address the Common Council for five minutes. The
Common Council will then initiate a nomination process to appoint an individual to the vacant
Common Council seat, effective immediately.
