1. Call to Order
Mr. Michelson called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m.
2. Approval of May 16,2019 Meeting Minutes
Mr. BellCorelli moved to approve May 16, 2019 meeting minutes as amended and Ms.
Redlin seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
3. Adding Alternates-Discussion/Action
Ms. Naudziunas explained that staff has been directed to collect feedback on the idea of
adding alternate seats to the committee. Mr. BellCorelli made a motion to allow adding
alternates to the membership and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
4. Route Implementation Update
Ms. Naudziunas explained that the Traffic and Parking Advisory Board reviewed the
Oakwood bike lanes from 9th Avenue to Witzel Avenue at their May 141h, 2019 meeting.
The board requested more information from the Town of Algoma and wanted to notify
residents on this potential change. The item was laid over until the June meeting. At the
June meeting the committee recommended approval of the bike route.
5. Capital Improvement Program Funding-Discussion/Action
Mr. Michelson presented his draft letter which will serve as a statement on the wishes of
the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee regarding certain capital improvement
projects and how they are prioritized in the city budget. This item should be left on the
agenda for further discussion.
6. Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update
Ms. Naudziunas explained that she is still working on formatting and editing the final
document draft.
7. Agenda Items for the Future Meeting(s)
The committee expressed an interest in continuing to review chapters from the Bike and
Pedestrian Master Plan. The committee requests to keep an on-going list of potential
agenda items to help keep track of ideas, this list will be found on each agenda.
8. Adjournment
Mr. Bellcorelli moved to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Brown seconded the motion.
Motion carried unanimously at 5:18 p.m.
