This means the Joint Finance Committee will be taking action on a number of budget items impacting o er adults and caregivers including t Gree of the Wisconsin Aging Advocacy Network's ( priority issues: U ncrease Medicaid provider rates to address the direct care workforce crisis a. Family Care managed care organizations MCOs—Increase the direct care supplemental payments to Farnily Care MCOs1 by million/year in state funding. These funds will be passed on to providers in the Family Care program who will be required to pass the funding on to workers providing direct care services. b. ursine o esIncrease the medical assistance ) rates to pay skilled ursing facilities and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities by 1.5% annually to support staff in these facilities who perform direct care and by 1.0% annually to support casts associated with increases in the acuity of patients in these facilities. c. Medicaid Personal Care C —Increase the MAPC rate paid to agencies by 17% in each year of the budget to help fund increased wages and benefits for personal care workers providing in-home se ices and ensure the agencies they work for can remain in business.
