deadlines. The public and Member input session is scheduled for June 27.It is anticipated that this
design development phase of the project will conclude by October 1, 2019.
Mr. Hoffman requested Mr. Larson present the Director's report.
Mr. Larson began with an update on the Menominee Clans Story exhibit. Work on this project is
coming to a temporary close because Exhibit Technician Greg Witthun will begin working on
Cemetery Tales next week. The rocks are ready to be moved into the room, but this cannot be done
until after the new lighting is installed, which should occur within two weeks. Staff still anticipates
having it completed in late May or perhaps in the first half of June.

The move of the figures from Stevens Point to Oshkosh is a considerable undertaking because they
are exceptionally fragile. The Clan figures will probably start arriving in early to mid-May and it
will take several trips to accomplish. They will be placed in third floor storage until the exhibition
platform is ready to receive the figures. For health reasons, Mike Hoffman has relinquished his
supervision and authority and transferred it to Ray Reser. For that reason,Ray will do the majority
of the installation,helped by staff.
Mr. Larson reported that the marketing position is still under review by Human Resources. He
anticipates the position will be posted by mid-month, and that candidates will be interviewed in
the first half of May. In the meantime, select staff members are handling the most pressing
marketing and membership responsibilities.
In conclusion,Mr.Larson reported that the majority of the fire bell tower is finished. In the coming
weeks Matt Reinke will complete the masonry work. It was hoped that this entire project would be
complete by the end of May. However, with other capital and exhibition projects imminent, this
bell project will likely be put aside temporarily so Mr. Reinke can focus time on higher priority
projects. That concluded the Director's Report.
President Hoffman reminded the Board that at the May meeting voting will be held for the Board
President, Vice President, and Secretary. All current holders of these positions have served two
terms and therefore may not serve in the same role/s for the coming term.
Mr. Hoffman then requested that Ms. Davis present the Auxiliary Report.
Auxiliary Vice President Ruth Davis began with a report that planning has begun for Pie on the
Lawn, to be held July 14, 2019. The Auxiliary decided not to have a bake sale in conjunction with
the Paine Art Center and Garden's May event. Ms. Davis reported that the Auxiliary presented
Karla Szekeres, upon her resignation from the Museum, with a$50 gift card in appreciation for all
her help with their marketing. The Auxiliary will do another fundraiser at Culvers on Tuesday,
May 141h, 5:00-7:00 p.m. In conclusion Ms. Davis reported that the Auxiliary voted to give$3,000
to the Museum for a new safety table saw. The next meeting of the Auxiliary is April 12th. That
concluded the Auxiliary Report.
With no other agenda items, Mr. Hoffman asked for a motion to adjourn. Ms. Thierman so moved
and Ms. Herzog seconded the motion.
The vote was unanimous in favor and the motion was passed.
The meeting adjourned at 4: 50 p.m.
