Jim Collins told all the buses now have the newer upgraded cameras onboard. Korbin Figg said there are 4 cameras which capture view of the interior of the bus, 1 on each side of the exterior, and one on the windshield. Heavy Duty Bus Procurement Jim Collins Mr. Collins said he has been in touch with the manufacturer weekly and the production of the three additional buses will begin in July and be delivered in August. Jim Collins said he is planning to hold a Transportation Department open house on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Transit, Sign, and Electric Divisions will be included in this open house. He said the new buses should be ready for service by the open house.

He said the pre‐audit information was due February 15, 2019, and we have not yet been told where to send that information. Agenda Items Presentation on Winnebago Catch‐A‐Ride Program Jim Collins Kayleee Mr. Collins introduced Kolin of East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (ECWRPC) and Kaylee of AmeriCorps. He said there are county wide gaps in transportation and ECWRPC received a GOEDC grant which is funding this program. Kaylee distributed a Winnebago Catch‐A‐Ride handout. She told she works with Holly Keenan, mobility manage of Lutheran Social Services’ program, Make the Ride Happen, where volunteer drivers are paired with those in need of transportation. She explained the Catch A Ride Program was a pilot project launched in September 2018. She also told the goal of the program was to provide employment related transportation and partner with health care. Kaylee explained how the program works and the costs. She said Feonix Mobility Rising provides infrastructure and software to track mileage. She said the program has provided over 50 rides, 80% provided by volunteer drivers, since it started operation in February. Concerns were brought up about drivers and the condition of the vehicles the volunteers were using and Kaylee said drivers are interviewed and have a background check. She told vehicles are inspected annually. There was mention about what would happen if the volunteer became ill. Kaylee said if another volunteer were not readily available, they would use another service such as Lyft or City Cab. She also told no cash is handled; everything is handled with vouchers, credit cards and direct deposit.
Committee Name: Transit Advisory BoardDate: 4/17/19 Location: City Hall, Room 406 3 Topic Facilitator Discussion Actions Presentation on Winnebago Catch‐A‐Ride Program Kaylee Kaylee explained WCAR has technology, software and web platform to create a complete list of transportation providers and volunteer drivers. She said Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation (GOEDC) received a $30,000.00 Commute to Careers Workforce Development Grant that will be used to subsidize fares and mileage costs for unemployed, underemployed, disabled and low‐income workers. Future Agenda Items Mike Norton Mike Norton stated he has seen drivers smoking at various transfer points and inquired what the policy is regarding this. Jim Collins replied that he would look into the matter and report his findings at the next meeting.
