RE: Professional Services Agreement with Facility Engineering Inc. for Engineering Services
for Masonry Assessment and Repairs for the Oshkosh Public Museum ($26,963.00)
The Oshkosh Public Museum requested a proposal from Facility Engineering Inc. for engineering
services to provide an assessment and/or inspection of the Sawyer Home and Steiger Wing and Carriage
House exterior for the purpose of identifying and remedying areas of deteriorating sealant, masonry,
foundations, and stucco and wood siding. These services will include the assessment and any necessary
bid specifications for repairs. Consultation with the Wisconsin Historical Society on any repairs is also
included within these services.
Facility Engineering Inc. was chosen because of their initial preliminary engineering services of this
project that began in 2018, and their knowledge and experience in this type of project. The cost for their
services for this phase is $26,963.00, and will be funded through the appropriate 2019 Capital
Improvement Program for this project.
Chapter 12 of the Municipal Code of the City of Oshkosh provides that professional services of a
specialized nature, including architectural services, may be procured without the use of competitive
bidding or quotation process. In accordance with Section 12-16 of the Code, I am hereby submitting this
report regarding this architectural services agreement.
Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this architectural services agreement.
Respectfully Submitted,
