Hello, all. The Oshkosh World War I Commemoration Committee has finished its work, so this will be my final e-mail to the group. Thank you all for your great work in the past year and a half to make the community aware of its World War I history. It's been wonderful to get to know you and work with you. The standees are at the Senior Center for their military tribute on Nov. 14 and will stay at the Museum after that. I'll be writing thank-you notes to all the businesses and organizations that have hosted them. I hope you heard the bells on Sunday! The Northwestern covered that effort and its national connection (thanks, Karla!) and ran the column that I wrote on how Oshkosh celebrated the news back in 1918. It must have been quite a day. Again, thank you for all you've done for this community history project. I hope to see you around town. Sincerely, Becky Rebecca Matzke Associate Dean for Faculty Development Professor of History
