AGENDA ITEMS
NOVEMBER 21, 2018
NEW BUSINESS
1. PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER CHANGES IN FIXED ROUTE AND
PARATRANSIT FARES (CURRENT AND PROPOSED FARES ATTACHED)
2. SERVICE CHANGES TO ROUTE 9 (MAP ATTACHED)
The Transit Development Plan (TDP) Steering Committee selected the Route 9 no cost
option where the bus serves the outlet mall and industrial park every trip and
deviates to Carl Traeger before and after school. Passengers wanting to go to the
YMCA will need to tell the driver when they board. When a passenger wants to be
picked up from the YMCA they will need to telephone the GO Transit office and
request the deviation.
The two Route 9 stops being eliminated with this proposal are as follows:
• 20th Avenue at Westhaven Drive
o 2017 Ridership -16 Boarding - 24 Alighting
• 20th Avenue at Lennox Street
o 2017 Ridership - 743 Boarding - 468 Alighting
3. APPROVAL OF TRANSIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN FINAL DRAFT
The final draft of the Transit Development Plan will be presented by Nick Musson, of
East Central Wisconsin Regional Plan Commission. This final draft of the TDP is the
culmination of 2 years of work by the TDP Steering Committee. The plan will be used
to guide the work of GO Transit for the next 5 to 8 years. The plan contains
recommendations for technology, fares, marketing and Route 9 among other items.
Once approved by the Transit Advisory Board and TDP Steering Committee, the plan
will be presented to the Common Council for adoption.
Please contact the Transit Advisory Board at TAB(dci.oshkosh.wi.us with any questions or concerns
