Troy Monday called the meeting to order at 4:13 p.m.
The June 20, 2018 TAB meeting minutes were accepted.

Jim Collins
James Israel, of QPS Employment Group, requested bus service to
the southeast industrial park area. He cited lack of transportation
the number 1 reason for unemployment. He told QPS has a
shuttle service but have not been able to find a dependable driver.
There was discussion about past deviation service to Miles
Kimball twice daily, the north industrial park, and entry level
positions being 2nd or 3rd shift.
Jim Collins told him about the Access to Jobs program and that
bus service to this area would be considered with the Transit
Development Plan.

Musson
Nick Musson of East Central Wisconsin Regional Plan
Commission, distributed copies of the draft Transit
Development Plan (TDP) document and presented the Transit
Development draft chapters. Nick said he just compiled the
document so the steering committee has not seen it yet but will
at their meeting tomorrow. Nick stated one of the
recommendations are to increase the cash fare and price of bus
passes.
The Board suggested additional places to get public input such
as the Hmong Memorial Day Festival, Wednesday Farmer’s
Market, UW-Oshkosh campus, and neighborhood meetings.
Nick said he was open to suggestions for places to go to present
this plan but needs to receive those suggestions by 9/20/2018.
Nick Musson said he would expand upon the rural initiative,
Appleton/Oshkosh combined planning area, Easter Seals Grant
and how it all ties together as well as recap the steering
committee meeting in the September update.

Jim Collins
Jim Collins told all 7 new GO Transit buses are now in service. He said we
have grants to replace 3 more buses in 2019 and Valley Transit took our
old buses.

Jane Cryan said she saw passengers trip on the extra wide step by the rear
door on the new bus. She explained that the step is outlined with a wide
bright yellow marking but that this step is much wider than a normal stair
tread.
