SUBJECT: Item 6: Grand Opera House West Wall Signage

a.) The item is within the purview of the Commission per the Historic Preservation
Ordinance.
2.) The property is a contributing structure and is listed on the National and State Registers
of Historic Places.
2a.) Does item conform with all Local, State, or other Ordinances, Statutes?
Item would have to conform with zoning regulations and the City would have to
notify the WI Historical Society(as we have done in the past).
2b.) Has the State Historical Society been notified or involved?
Not for this project, as we do not yet have plans proposed to show the State.
2c.) Are other organizations or entities involved?
Yes-the Grand Opera House management is involved with the potential signage.
3.) Are Historic Tax Credits applicable for this item?
4.) Is this a municipally-owned structure?
The Grand Opera House is a municipally owned structure.
5.) What is the Commission priority#for this item?
Commission priority# 1 (Ongoing items)
5a.) Does the Commission have enough information for action(s)?
The Commission does not yet have enough information for action. Staff is still
awaiting signage information/renderings from Joe Ferlo of the Grand and Rob
Chartier of Miron Construction.
