HomeMy WebLinkAbout13. 18-358 JULY 10, 2018 18-358 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 6-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: AWARD SID TO U.S. PETROLEUM EQUIPMENT FOR FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT AT BROAD STREET LIFT STATION FOR WASTEWATER DIVISION ($44,893.00) INITIATED BY: PURCHASING DIVISION WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has heretofore advertised for bids for fuel tank replacement at Broad Street Lift Station for Wastewater Division; and WHEREAS,upon the opening and tabulation of bids, it appears that the following is the most advantageous bid: U.S. PETROLEUM EQUIPMENT 558 Carter Court Kimberly, WI 54136 Total Bid: $44,893.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that the said bid is hereby accepted and the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into an appropriate agreement for the purpose of same, all according to plans, specifications, and bids on file. Money for this purpose is hereby appropriated from: Acct. Urben, General Services Manager DATE: June 27, 2018 RE: Award Bid to U.S. Petroleum Equipment for Fuel Tank Replacement at Broad Street Lift Station for Wastewater Division ($44,893.00) BACKGROUND The Common Council allocated $45,000.00 in the 2018 CIP for the replacement of the Broad Street Lift Station underground fuel tank. The fuel tank is nearing the end of its normal useful service life. Diesel generators have recently been replaced and need this fuel tank. This tank must remain underground for security reasons, due to the location of the Broad Street Lift Station. ANALYSIS Working with Wastewater staff, Purchasing prepared bid specifications for this project. The bid was advertised in the local newspaper. Bids were due June 21, 2018. The bid tab is attached. Based on the bid review, it was the consensus of city staff that the low bid received met all the minimum bid requirements. FISCAL IMPACT The total fiscal impact of this bid is $44,893.00. The 2018 CIP allocated $45,000.00 for this project. This project will be charged to A/N# 0322-1910-7206-05815.
