HomeMy WebLinkAbout14. 18-338 JUNE 26, 2018 18-338 RESOLUTION (CARRIED 6-0 LOST LAID OVER WITHDRAWN ) PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / UW OSHKOSH DEPARTMENT OF RESIDENCE LIFE / UTILIZE CITY STREETS FOR THEIR RESIDENCE HALL MOVE IN DAYS / AUGUST 29 AND SEPTEMBER 1-3, 2018 INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Oshkosh that approval is granted to UW Oshkosh Department of Residence Life (Patrick Vander Zanden) to utilize city streets (Pearl Avenue, High Avenue, Algoma Boulevard, Elmwood Avenue, Cherry Street, Vine Avenue, Woodland Avenue, Scott Avenue, West Lincoln Avenue,West Irving Avenue,Amherst Avenue,Wisconsin Street) on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, September 1, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Monday, September 3, 2018, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for their Residence Hall Move In Days in accordance with the municipal code and the attached application,with the following exceptions/conditions: A. B. C. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer shall pay the City's actual costs for extraordinary services. Cost Estimates for Extraordinary Services Police Department Supplies $27.50 (preliminary estimate includes no parking signs) Staffing $64.00 (preliminary estimate includes 2 CSO's for 2 Hours @ $16/hr.) Street Department Supplies $506 (preliminary estimate includes barricades and signs) JUNE 26, 2018 18-338 RESOLUTION CONT'D Staffing $381.52 (preliminary estimate includes 2 personnel for 4 hours of delivery and pickup of supplies @ $47.69/hr.) Equipment/Vehicle Use $6.24 (preliminary estimate includes the discounted rates for 4 hours of vehicle and utility trailer use for delivery and pick up of supplies ; 1-ton truck $22.85/hr. reduced to $5.71/hr. and utility trailer $3.10/hr. reduced to $.77/hr.) ffjj i D ;i SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION Aw0shkosh 2015 The completed application can be mailed to: Oshkosh Seniors Center,Special Events Coordinator,200 N.Campbell Rd.,Oshkosh, WI,54902. All applications must include a detailed layout/route and the application fee($25 single clay event/$35 multi-day event).
