RE: Polling location on the UW Oshkosh campus
Currently there is a polling location in Albee Hall on the UW Oshkosh campus. Last year, the
university renovated Reeve Memorial Union, which is located right next to Albee Hall. I recently
contacted Pam Ubrig at the City Clerk's office and set up a time to meet with her to discuss the
possibility of moving the polling location to Reeve Union. She and several of her staff toured the
space, and they agreed that it would work for a polling location.
There are several advantages to moving the polling location to Reeve Union:
• There is an accessibility entrance at the front of the building. In Albee, it is in the back of
the building.
• There are several computers and printers available for students to print their Voter ID
Enrollment Verification Form on the first and second floors of Reeve Union.
• If students need to get a Voter ID, they just need to go downstairs to Titan Central.
• Reeve Union has a Building Manager available whenever the facility is open. If issues
occur during elections, someone is easily available to assist.
• During large elections, the gymnasium was used in Albee Hall. This entailed moving
academic classes and athletic practices. The space is Reeve Union will fit both small and
large numbers of participants for elections.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding moving this polling location. I can be
reached at kwatersk@uwosh.edu or by calling 920-424-3407.
Thank you for your consideration.
