Actions Requested: The City of Oshkosh is requesting acceptance of easements for sidewalks, traffic signals, and signage on South Main Street at the corners of 14th Avenue, South Park Avenue, and 1111i Avenue. Applicable Ordinance Provisions: N/A Property Location and Background Information: The subject sites include South Main Street intersections at 141h Avenue, South Park Avenue, and 111h Avenue. The easement at the corner of 14t1i Avenue will be 7.5' X 7.5' and located at the northeast corner of the intersection. The easement at the corner of South Park Avenue will be 15' X 15' and located at the northeast corner of the intersection. The easement at the corner of 111} -. Avenue will be 15' X 15' and located at the southwest corner of the intersection. ANALYSIS The City plans to install ADA compliant sidewalk at these locations along with public traffic control poles, signals,wiring, appurtenances and related public sidewalk necessary to access and utilize any traffic control features that may be located on the traffic control poles. The proposed easements are needed for these features due to the narrowness of the existing public right-of- ways. The Department of Public Works does not have concerns with the proposal and will work with the property owners to have appropriate easement documents signed and recorded at the Winnebago County Register of Deeds. RECOMMENDATION/CONDITIONS Staff recommends approval of the acceptance of the proposed easements as requested.
