PURPOSE: AWARD SID TO NORTHERN DIVERS USA INC. FOR WATER
INTAKE PIPELINE INSPECTION SERVICES FOR WATER
FILTRATION ($21,400.00)
INITIATED BY: PURCHASING DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has heretofore advertised for bids for water
intake pipeline inspection services for Water Filtration; and
WHEREAS,upon the opening and tabulation of bids, it appears that the following
is the most advantageous bid:

Total Sid: $21,400.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the said bid is hereby accepted and the proper City officials are hereby
authorized and directed to enter into an appropriate agreement for the purpose of same,
all according to plans, specifications, and bid on file. Money for this purpose is hereby
appropriated from:

RE: Award Bid to Northern Divers USA Inc. for Water Intake Pipeline Inspection Services for
Water Filtration ($21,400.00)
BACKGROUND
The 2018 Operating Budget allocated $35,000.00 to complete the inspection of the Water Filtration Plant
(WFP) sixty -inch (60") diameter water transmission main, water intake pipe, and water intake crib. All
inspections will be recorded to digital media and submitted to the city of Oshkosh.
ANALYSIS
Working with WFP staff, Purchasing prepared bid specifications for the inspection of the 60" diameter
water intake pipeline and intake crib. The bid was posted on Onvia DemandStar. Bids were due March
29, 2018. The City received two bids and the bid tab is attached. The bids were reviewed and based on
the bid review, it was the consensus of City staff that low bid met the minimum bid requirements.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total fiscal impact of this bid is $21,400.00. The 2018 Operating Budget allocated $35,000 for this
project. This project will be charged to A/N# 541-1865-6426-08651.
RECOMMENDATION
Purchasing recommends the Common Council award this bid to Northern Divers USA Inc. for
$21,400.00.
