Box 1130 Oshkosh WI 54902-1130 I know it's been sometime, but I believe we have finally gathered all of the information you were requesting in your letter dated April'23 the additional tenant cabinet we would like to install on the existing Sears sign structure. They ere as follows: ' Item #1: Distance from the west property is approx. 35'+ and approx. 100' + from the north property line. Item #2: To determine the information requested, we did an on site survey. We looked at how the poles are connected end we looked at the existing foundation. The poles ere sleeved at each section, they slide into the next size pole approx. 2'. They have a circular bracket at the top of the sleeve and approx. 1'-6" down into the sleeved areas. At the "circular bracket" ereas they are tac welded together, this is very common in the induslxy. This is a two stage pole, so there is one sleeve per pole, but two circuler brackets per pole that ere tac welded.. As fer es the foundation, this is determined with a series of penetrations into the ground determining the length, width end depth of the existing foundation. The dimensions per pole ere: 7' in width x 9' in length x 10'-6" deep. Based on our engineering calculations, this is a sufficient base to handle the wind load required for this sign. If we were to build this sign new, our engineering calls for a 6' wide x 8' long x 10'-3" deep concrete cube per pole. This is based en the total square footage of the sign faces, height and weight. The existing foundation is sufficient for tiffs sign as well as the additional tenant cabinet. Item 0-3: See aaYmched drawing Item g4: We calculated the size of pole that would be needed If we were building this sign new. A 26" diameter pole was called out for the lower or main pole for the sign. The existing pole is 29" in diameter, therefore more than enough to support the sign (obviously, it has been supporting it for some time). The thickness is determined by the diameter of the pole, which is 3/8" thickness. Again, sufficient for this sign. The upper pole diameter is 24", which is a standard diameter to sleeve into the 29" diameter pole below.
