EXTERIOR
PROVIDE A BID FOR EACH ITEM IN AN ITEM BY ITEM BREAKDOWN
WINDOW REPLACEMENT MUST BE DONE USING LEAD SAFE WORK
PRACTICES.
Remove any loose caulk and recaulk around windows and doors as
needed on areas where there will not be replacement windows.
VINYL REPLACEMENT WINDOWS
Remove and properly dispose of sash and parting bead. If necessary,
wet scrape interior casings and stool. Wrap exterior jamb, including
blind stop and sill Install double hung vinyl replacement window with
welded corners, insulated glass, half screen, and ventilation locks.
Stabilize, prime and repaint interior casings and stools if necessary.
TO THE FOLLOWING AREAS

See attached paper for porch completion
Build guardrail on porch to meet City Code compliancy. This is
to be top and bottom rail with lxl square spindles in between
with all to be painted. Build off of property so you can paint and then
install on porch.
Remove and properly dispose of existing front solid door. Provide and
install all new pre-hung, solid core steel panel door in existing opening.,
complete with jamb, hinges, strike plate, name-brand quality Iockset.
(Mimimum cost of Iockset $35) and weatherstripping.
If the front porch steps meet city code for rise and run, they can stay,
if possible, but put" back boards" on the steps and repaint the unit. The
steps as they are look shabby and need to be faced out. Provide handrail
to match porch.
Basement entry is located on the back of the house. It could be considered
a partial basement or crawlspace. I have talked to the inspectors and if
you build inside steps With a railing to the basement they will accept that.
I'm sure you will have to enclose the steps on both sides to meet code.
The door should fit properly, which it may already do. There should be
a proper lock on the door. The entrance to the basement will be
from the outside.
ELECTRICAL.
Provide labor and material to move electrical box to the interior of the house.
install it in a closet or other appropriate place in the upstairs. Lea,ve electrical

INTERIOR
Provide and install all new 1 1/2" round wooden handrail including all
necessary hardware, brass finished supports, all screws and mounting
hardware as necessary. To be finished with varnish and to have all edges

Provide and install ali new hot water heater in basement. If the
present one is new, then just change the pitch of the exhaust
pipe so that it is code compliant.
Provide labor and mateiral to correct all remaining known code violations that
pose a threat to health and safety. This includes the elimination of cross
connections on exterior threaded faucets; threaded basement faucets
and toilet tanks as needed.
GENERAL CONTRACTOR responsible to see that chimney is properly
capped off after all exhausts go to the outside.
HEATING
Remove and properly dispose of existing furnace. Provide and install
all new gas fired forced air furnace including new thermostat, new gas
piping, new wiring and any modifications needed to existing ducts
necessary to accept new furnace. Heat loss calculation to 90% efficiency.
