I would just like to explain a little about our event. Our church is located on the corner of
Bowen and Melvin. We set everything up on the church lawn. We set up tables to serve the
food and set up our games. The horse drawn wagon is parked alongside our church on Melvin
St. and they take people for a ride a couple of blocks away and then swing back around. All
loading and unloading of people takes place on Melvin. We would like to block the street off
this year from Bong Ct. to Bowen just for the safety of the people. We hold this event during
the city's trick or treat time which is from 5-7 p.m. This is a free event and is open to the
community. We normally have 100-150 people stop through. Many are just out trick or treating
and they stop on in for a hotdog, the hayride and let their kids play some games. It is a safe
family-friendly event. This year we are also including a table where we will be handing out blue
light bulbs to the first 100 adults in support of our local Oshkosh Police Dept. and blue silicone
bracelets to the kids.
