This year, we have selected the Main Street Bungalow Area(between New a York and Murdock)where the city upgraded its terraces and planted trees as one of our two winners. It is sometimes hard h to select winners. We also considered the renovation of Main Street in Downtown and the new Streets Department Maintenance facility on Witzel, for which the City will receive honorable mentions. This is not the first time the City has won an award for investing in landscape and trees as part of its maintenance and development programs. This year, the Rotary Clubs of Oshkosh sponsored a Visioning Session to identify worthwhile planting projects. Planning for some of these tree plantingProjects, including trees included in Oshkosh Schools Curb I Appeal and the tree plantings along the corridor to the Oshkosh arena are underway. We applaud and encourage these efforts. 6 There are two ways we can show our appreciation for your investment. First,we would like to present our award to the City Council at one of its meetings in late September or October. Please contact Ken Friedman at 920.209.1990 or friedken(agmail.com to make arrangements for the presentations t Second,we would like to invite you to join us at Oshkosh Southwest Rotary meeting on Wednesday,at noon on ?
