Funding for HVAC replacements is funded through the annual Roofing/HVAC CIP fund. The 2017 CIP Roofing/HVAC CIP has been allocated $500,000. During the recent HVAC review of the Parks' Forestry Administration Building it was determined that several of the building's HVAC systems and components were not working correctly. In consult with the City Manager, it was determined these systems and components should be properly repaired or upgraded as soon as possible. ANALYSIS Working with Summit Designs, Purchasing prepared bid specifications for this project. The bid was advertised in the local newspaper and posted on Onvia DemandStar. Bids were due August 24, 2017. The bid tab is attached. Based on the bid review, it was the consensus of Summit Designs and City staff that the low bid met all the minimum bid requirements. FISCAL IMPACT The fiscal impact of this bid is $39,990.00. This bid, added to Summit Designs fees of $5,000.00 brings the total fiscal impact of this project to $44,990.00.
