Gohde, Assistant Director of Public Works 14" DATE: August 3, 2017 RE: Award Bid for Public Works Contract No. 17-01 Parking Lot Construction Vinton Construction Company, Inc. / ($319,029.48) BACKGROUND The purpose of this project is to reconstruct an existing parking lot at Fire Station #16 and asphalt mill and overlay the Oshkosh Public Library parking lot. ANALYSIS Engineering staff reviewed two (2) bids. The low bid was received from Vinton Construction Company, Inc. of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The total bid is $319,029.48. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the project is in the Property Improvements section of the 2017 Capital Improvements Program (CIP). Of the $600,000 budgeted for parking lot improvements in the 2017 CIP, $291,000 is already being utilized for the South Park Shelter Lot, which was awarded earlier this year. The remaining $49,000 required for this project is available from the Property Improvements section of the 2016 CIP. Following is a summary of the available funds and the construction costs, including engineering fees.
