PURPOSE: APPROVE PURCHASE OF STREET LIGHTING EQUIPMENT FROM
ENTERPRISE LIGHTING LTD FOR ELECTRIC DIVISION FOR
SAWDUST DISTRICT ($74,082.60)
INITIATED BY: PURCHASING
WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase street lighting equipment for streets
adjacent/connected to the Oshkosh Arena Project; and
WHEREAS, Enterprise Lighting Ltd. is the City's standardized supplier for the street
lighting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed pursuant to
Section 12-11 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code to purchase street lighting equipment for
streets adjacent/connected to the Oshkosh Arena Project from:
ENTERPRISE LIGHTING LTD.

Total: $74,082.60
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into an appropriate agreement for the purpose of same. Money for
this purpose is hereby appropriated from:
Acct. No. 323-0801-6542-06751 Equipment Fund—Traffic Signal Materials

RE: Approve Purchase of Street Lighting Equipment to Enterprise Lighting LTD for Electric
Division ($74,082.60)
BACKGROUND
This memo is to purchase the necessary street lighting equipment for streets adjacent/connected to the
Oshkosh Arena project. Funding for this purchase is included within the updated TIF 31 budget for this
project. The Electric Division will install the equipment as part of the project.
ANALYSIS
As Enterprise Lighting LTD is the City's standardized supplier for all street lighting equipment, City
staff secured a proposal from them for the necessary equipment for this project.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost for the Enterprise Lighting LTD street lighting equipment for this project is $74,082.60. This cost
will be charged to A/N#: 323-0801-6542-06751.
RECOMMENDATION
Section 12-11 of the Municipal Code provides that subject to approval of the City Manager, purchases
may be made without following a formal competitive bidding process when the purchase is from only
one source of supply or when standardization or compatibility is the overriding consideration. In
accordance with Section 12-11 of the Municipal Code and with approval by the City Manager, Purchasing
recommends the Common Council approve this purchase from Enterprise Lighting LTD, 2007 Pewaukee
Road, Waukesha, WI 53188, in the amount of $74,082.60.
