PURPOSE: APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES PROPOSALS TO TIERNEY
BROTHERS INC. FOR AUDIO/VISUAL UPGRADES&DRS SOUND
INC. FOR HEARING LOOP UPGRADE FOR THE OSHKOSH
CONVENTION CENTER ($215,155.63)
INITIATED BY: PURCHASING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the current audio/visual (A/V) system and components in the Oshkosh
Convention Center are nearly a decade old and outdated in today's technology, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division reviewed these projects and concluded that the
specialized design and nature of implementation for both projects meets the requirements
of the professional services exception under Section 12-16 of the City's Municipal Code
which allows for the waiving of formal competitive bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to enter into and take those
steps necessary to implement an appropriate professional services agreements with Tierney
Brothers Inc. for Audio/Visual Upgrades in the amount of one hundred eighty six thousand
one hundred eight dollars and sixty three cents ($186,108.63) & DRS Sounds Inc. for
Hearing Loop Upgrade in the amount of twenty nine thousand forty seven dollars
($29,047.00),for the Oshkosh Convention Center in the total amount of two hundred fifteen
thousand one hundred fifty five dollars and sixty three cents ($215,155.63).
Money for this Purpose is hereby appropriated from:
