PURPOSE: APPROVE COMMUNITY ARTS PROJECT LAKE FLY; APROVE
AGREEMENTS WITH PROSPECTIVE ARTISTS & SPONSORS;
ACCEPT DONATIONS
INITIATED BY: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
PARKS ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PUBLIC ARTS & BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
WHEREAS, Project Lake Fly is a community art project that supports local artists
and art programs in the community; and
WHEREAS, local artists have been approached to create unique lake fly designs
to celebrate the hatching of lake flies in Oshkosh each summer; and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary for the City to accept donations to implement
Project Lake Fly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that the community art project 'Project Lake Fly' is hereby approved and the
City hereby graciously accepts donations for said project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into appropriate agreements with local artists and sponsors to
implement said project.
