PURPOSE: APPROVE SPECIAL EVENT / LIFE PROMOTIONS, INC. /
UTILIZE SUNNYVIEW EXPOSITION CENTER&WINNEBAGO
COUNTY PARK FOR LIFEST&THE LIFEST 5K/JULY 6,7,8,&9,
2017
INITIATED BY: CITY ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, the City of Oshkosh has received a special event application from Life
Promotions,Inc. (John Dougherty) to utilize Sunnyview Exposition Center for Lifest,July 6,
2017 through July 9, 2017; and
WHEREAS, Life Promotions, Inc. requested to allow amplified sound until 11:59
p.m. the nights of July 6 through July 8, 2017
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Oshkosh that approval is granted to Life Promotions, Inc. (John Dougherty) to utilize the
Sunnyview Exposition Center on Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.;
Friday, July 7, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.; Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to
11:59 p.m.; and Sunday, July 9, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for Lifest; and, the
Winnebago County Park on July 8, 2017 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for the Lifest 5K in
accordance with the municipal code and the attached application, with the following
exceptions/conditions:
A. An exception to the provisions of 4-24(D)(2)of the City of Oshkosh
Municipal Code is granted to allow amplified music until 12:00 a.m.
The Common Council has considered the information set forth in the
application, the location of this event, and other pertinent
information and finds that the request for a variance is reasonable
and should be granted.

SE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as a condition of approval, the Event Organizer
shall pay the City's actual costs for extraordinary services.
