RE: Cooperative Purchase for 2017 Pickup Truck for Oshkosh Public Museum ($31,135.00)
BACKGROUND
The Common Council allocated $43,000 in the 2017 CP for the Oshkosh Public Museum to replace their 1992
GMC Van. The Museum has determined a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD Crew Cab will better address the
maintenance and snowplowing needs for this vehicle.
ANALYSIS
Purchasing has verified that Ewald Automotive Group holds the State of Wisconsin Department of
Administration contract (#505FNr-M17-2017VEHIC5.00) for this vehicle.
FISCAL IMPACT
The 2017 CII' allocated $43,000 for this vehicle and its required maintenance components (snowplow, liftgate,
salt spreader, cap, etc.). The total fiscal impact of this vehicle via state contract is $31,135. The balance
allocated for this vehicle will fund the remaining maintenance components. Funding for the vehicle and its
components will be charged to A/N#: 323-1070-7210-06723.
RECOMMENDATION
Section 12-15 of the Municipal Code provides that subject to approval of the City Manager, cooperative
purchases pursuant to a contract with any other local, state or federal governmental unit or agency may be
made without following a competitive bidding or quotation process. In accordance with Section 12-15 of the
Municipal Code and because this cooperative purchase is in excess of $25,000, I am hereby submitting a report
of this purchase to the Common Council. If you have any questions on this purchase please contact myself or
