Parks 2016
1.Donor fence installed at South Park inclusive playground
2.Renovated restroom at Red Arrow Park
3.Installed concrete walks around perimeter of otter exhibit

5.Installed accessible canoe/kayak launch at Boatworks site
6.Installed historic signs along the Riverwalk
7.Designed park improvements for South Park to be completed in 2017 with lagoon work

5.Research a new shallow water feature for the pool
6.Increase attendance at the free Tuesday night concert series at the Leach
Special Events 2016
1.Over 108 Special Events were approved by the city in 2016
2.23 new events were approved in 2016
3.Post event survey information has been tremendous

98% - Special Event personnel responded in a timely manner to all inquiries.
81% - The application for a special event permit was easy to complete.
63% - Obtaining additional permits was made easy by the assistance of on-line resources
and city staff.
84% - The Special Events Review Committee review meeting was helpful in planning their
event.
88% - The location was ideal for the event (clean, in good repair, adequate amenities, etc.)
97% - Special Event personnel were courteous and easy to work with.
100% - Special Event personnel were professional and knowledgeable about the permits
and requirements needed to host the event.
95% - Will likely host their future events in Oshkosh.
Special Events 2017
1.Solicit new, major special events to utilize the Leach Amphitheater
Seniors Center 2016
1.Implemented numerous new programs Senior Gems, Barre Classes, Powerful Tools
for Caregivers, etc.
2.Began discussions of possible Seniors Center name change
3.Committee on Aging moved meetings to City Hall to be televised
4.New parking lots, sidewalk and patio constructed
5.Increased social media marketing
6.South building exterior painted
7.Lutheran Social Services ended Adult Day Services at facility and FVTC reduced classes
8.Hired Anne Schaefer, Marketing and Fund Development Coordinator
Seniors Center 2017
1.Finalize name change decision
2.Hired Jean Wollerman, Senior Services Manager
3.New flooring and carpeting in various rooms
4.Increase collaborations and sponsorships
5.Increase number of programs for individuals ages 50 and over concentrating on
6.Investigate expanding hours in the evening and/or weekends
7.Expand fitness class offerings
