Gohde, Assistant Director of Public Works' DATE: February 9, 2017 RE: Award Bid for Public Works Contract No. 17-17 Hemlock Court & Fraser Drive Concrete Paving Ptaschinski Construction, Inc. / ($169,180.99) BACKGROUND The purpose of this project is to install concrete pavement on Fraser Drive and Hemlock Court. Sanitary sewer main and laterals, water main and laterals, and storm sewer main and laterals will be repaired prior to placing new concrete pavement. Concrete aprons and handicap ramps will be constructed to match the new pavement. This work will complete the requirements of the Edgewood Village plat and related development agreement. ANALYSIS Engineering staff reviewed three bids. The low bid was received from Ptaschinski Construction, Inc. of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The total bid is $169,180.99. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the project is in the Streets section of the 2015 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and shown as entirely assessable. Following is a summary of the available funds and the construction costs, including engineering fees. Assessments will be levied to adjoining property owners to cover all of the expenses.
