HomeMy WebLinkAbout01. 17-23 JANUARY 24, 2017 17-23 ORDINANCE FIRST READING (CARRIED___6-0____LOST______LAID OVER______WITHDRAWN______) PURPOSE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE MAPS CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 2521 & 2615 BOWEN STREET FROM INDUSTRIAL TO RESIDENTIAL; APPROVE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2521 & 2615 BOWEN STREET FROM UI URBAN INDUSTRIAL TO MR-12 MULTI FAMILY RESIDENTIAL- 12 INITIATED BY: RUSS WILLIAMS, ANCHORAGE REALTY, INC. PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Approved AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN AND AMENDING SECTION 30-32 OF THE OSHKOSH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO ZONING DISTRICTS. The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Russ Williams, Anchorage Realty, Inc, Petitioner, requests a map amendment to the Recommended 10 Year and 20 Year Comprehensive Plan Land Use maps from an industrial land use designation to a residential land use designation for property located at 2521 & 2615 Bowen Street, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. SECTION 2. The Plan Commission recommended approval of said amendment. SECTION 3. The City has held a public hearing on this Ordinance, in compliance with the requirements of Section 66.1001(4)(d), Wisconsin Statutes. SECTION 4. The Common Council of the City of Oshkosh hereby approves amending the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Maps changing the land use designation on the property located at 2521 & 2615 Bowen Street from industrial to residential. That Section 30-32 of the Oshkosh Municipal Code pertaining to Zoning Districts and the map therein described is hereby amended by changing the district character of the property located at 2521 & 2615 Bowen Street from UI Urban Industrial to MR-12 Multi Family Residential 12. 2521 BOWEN STREET, ALL OF LOTS 6, 7, AND 11 OF ANCHORAGE PARK PLAT AND LOT 10 EXCEPT BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 10 OF ANCHORAGE PARK PLAT BEING THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE S89D51'36"W, 161.85 FT; THENCE N00D57'33"E, 144.34 FT; THENCE, 15TH WARD, CITY OF OSHKOSH, WINNEBAGO COUNTY WISCONSIN, PLUS PUBLIC RIGHT-OF- WAY ABUTTING SAID LOT EXTENDING TO THE CENTERLINE OF BOWEN STREET AND LEEWARD COURT WEST 2615 BOWEN STREET ANCHORAGE PARK PLAT LOT 12, 15TH WARD, CITY OF OSHKOSH, WINNEBAGO COUNTY WISCONSIN, PLUS PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY ABUTTING SAID LOT EXTENDING TO THE CENTERLINE OF BOWEN STREET SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the members elect of the Common Council and publication as required by law. SECTION 7. Publication Notice. Please take notice that the City of Oshkosh enacted Ordinance #17-XX APPROVE AMENDMENT TO COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE MAPS CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 2521 & 2615 BOWEN STREET FROM INDUSTRIAL TO RESIDENTIAL; APPROVE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2521 & 2615 BOWEN STREET FROM UI URBAN INDUSTRIAL TO MR-12 MULTI FAMILY RESIDENTIAL- 12 on February 14, 2017. This ordinance amends the Comprehensive Land Use Maps, changing the land use designation at 2521 & 2615 Bowen Street industrial to residential and changes the zoning from UI Urban Industrial to MR-12 Multi Family Residential-12.
